Dr. Jackie Yates Returns to WMMC to Provide Pediatric Sleep Medicine

Warrensburg, MO (November 13, 2019) — Western Missouri Medical Center (WMMC) is pleased to announce that Jackie Yates, D.O., will be returning to the WMMC team as a pediatric provider with a specialty in pediatric sleep medicine.

Jackie Yates is a seasoned and board-certified pediatrician who recently completed her fellowship in sleep medicine, and enjoys taking care of behaviorally complex children. She has 14 years of experience in pediatric care, and joined WMMC for the first time in 2008. Providing general care, she became the Chief of Pediatrics in January 2010. In 2012, Dr. Yates left the organization to pursue other opportunities, which include her Sleep Medicine Fellowship at the University of Missouri. She will be seeing pediatric sleep medicine patients at WMMC.

“There are many physical findings suggestive of sleep problems in children,” says Dr. Yates. “Obesity, enlarged tonsils, high blood pressure, small chin, and even poor weight gain all suggest that an evaluation for sleep disordered breathing should be considered. I will see them quickly and efficiently, because I know that these children don’t deserve to wait to be seen!”

Dr. Yates will be returning Nov. 19 in several different clinic locations, including the Sleep Center located in Warrensburg, Western Missouri Family Healthcare – Knob Noster, and Building Blocks Pediatrics.
