Dr. Richard Coats, a fellowship-trained, board-certified general and vascular surgeon with over two decades of experience, will lead this latest effort in the clinic’s mission to provide comprehensive heart and vascular care to the local community.
Dr. Coats brings extensive expertise to the Heart Care of Warrensburg team. He completed his undergraduate education, medical degree, residency, and fellowship at the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO. In addition to his medical practice, Dr. Coats serves as a physician for the U.S. Navy Reserves and is actively involved in training future surgeons. His dedication to staying at the forefront of advanced vascular surgery techniques reflects his commitment to delivering the highest quality care to his patients.
The expanded services as Heart Care of Warrensburg will include treatment for conditions such as carotid artery disease, aortic disease, peripheral arterial disease (PAD), deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, varicose veins, hyperhidrosis and wound care. Advanced treatment options and procedures will include angioplasty, stenting, endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR), peripheral artery bypass surgery and vascular ultrasound interpretation.
