At Western Missouri Medical Center, more than 700 families choose to begin their journey each year. We provide personalized, compassionate care for you and your baby, guiding you before, during, and after birth.

All new patients receive a New Patient Welcome Packet, a comprehensive guide through your pregnancy journey. It includes everything you need to know about your care, lists of important contacts, FAQs, and guidance for a smooth and confident experience.

Welcoming Marshall-Area Families

WMMC is proud to partner with Missouri Valley Regional Medical Center (MVRMC) to support families in the Marshall area through pregnancy, delivery and recovery. Patients can continue prenatal care in Marshall with Dr. James Kerns through approximately 34 weeks of pregnancy, then transition to WMMC in Warrensburg for the remainder of their pregnancy and delivery. After birth, families can return to Marshall for postpartum and pediatric care.

Our experienced Birth Center team provides personalized, family-centered support to help make your birth experience as comfortable and seamless as possible.

Nuestro Maternity Navigator provides one-on-one guidance throughout your pregnancy, delivery, and recovery. Whether you’re a first-time parent or expanding your family, our goal is to help you feel prepared and supported.

Breastfeeding Support

Our on-staff Consultores de lactancia certificados por la Junta Internacional (IBCLC) provide personalized, one-on-one support during pregnancy, at delivery, and after discharge. They can help with latching difficulties, painful nursing, low milk production, and more.
