Our experienced team includes a full-time, board-certified cardiologist and a nurse practitioner who are dedicated to delivering exceptional care for all your heart and vascular health needs. They use advanced diagnostic tools and treatment options to manage conditions such as heart disease, heart failure, arrhythmias (irregular heartbeats), and congenital heart defects can impact the heart’s ability to function properly. With both providers available five days a week, you can count on us to ensure you have access to the care you need, when you need it.
We understand the importance of having access to high-quality cardiac care close to home. Our team is committed to providing compassionate, personalized care in a comfortable and convenient setting. Both providers are full-time WMMC employees and are available five days a week to ensure consistent, expert care for our patients. You don’t need a referral to schedule an appointment with one of our providers, making it easier for you to get the care you need without delay.
Board-Certified Cardiologist
Dr. Brown has over 25 years delivering invasive, non-interventional cardiology services in Kansas City, Lee’s Summit and Warrensburg. He earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency and cardiovascular fellowship at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

Teresa Smith, NP, BC-C, brings over 14 years of experience in cardiology, along with eight years in pharmaceutical research and more than four years in critical care and interventional radiology. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Rockhurst College in 1993 and completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Maryville University in St. Louis in 2017.
