Warrensburg, Missouri — Western Missouri Medical Center (WMMC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Randy Russell as Treasurer of its Board of Trustees. A lifelong Warrensburg resident and recently retired insurance executive, Russell brings decades of professional experience and a deep personal connection to WMMC and the community he has called home throughout his life.
Russell spent 36 years working in the insurance industry and most recently served as Regional President of Assured Partners/AJ Gallagher before his retirement. His extensive business experience, leadership background, and longstanding ties to Warrensburg will provide a valuable perspective as he joins the Board.
WMMC has been an important part of Russell’s life, providing care for him and his family through both routine healthcare needs and difficult times.
“WMMC is a vital part of our community,” said Russell. “I have always said you need great healthcare to be a great community. We are fortunate to have WMMC, and I want to continue to help keep WMMC moving forward as the times change for future generations.”
Russell said he looks forward to working alongside fellow Board members and hospital leadership to support WMMC’s continued growth and success.
“Everyone is passionate about WMMC, so it’s exciting to work with people who have vision, resolve, and dedication to make our community the best,” Russell said.
The WMMC Board of Trustees provides oversight, strategic direction, and accountability in support of the hospital’s mission to deliver high-quality, compassionate care. The Board helps guide major decisions related to patient care, service expansion, technology investments, responsible stewardship of resources, and the organization’s long-term strategic priorities.
Russell joins the WMMC Board of Trustees alongside Greg Hassler, President; Rita White, Vice President; Larry Purcell, DDS, Secretary; and Stephanie Truex, Trustee.
