Register for WMMC’s Diabetes Education and Empowerment Program

Western Missouri Medical Center’s Diabetes Education and Empowerment Program (DEEP) is an 8-week program taught by certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialists and is entirely FREE for individuals committed to learning how to manage their diabetes.

Individuals interested in participating in the 2026 DEEP class must register using the form below. Space is limited, and registration is required to secure a spot in the program.

Classes meet once a week and focus on understanding diabetes through interactive games, activities, and guided conversations. Attendance at all eight classes is required to receive a completion certificate.

Classes are held on Thursdays in March and April from 6–8 p.m. in WMMC Conference Room 1.

This program is for individuals who:

• Are unsure how to manage their diabetes
• Have concerns about future complications
• Want guidance on nutrition and meal preparation
• Feel overwhelmed by diabetes technology or devices
• Are caregivers for someone with diabetes
