Register for WMMC’s Diabetes Education and Empowerment Program

Western Missouri Medical Center’s Diabetes Education and Empowerment Program (DEEP) is an 8-week, FREE program designed to help individuals gain the knowledge and confidence they need to better manage their diabetes. Led by certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialists, DEEP uses interactive games, activities, and guided conversations to make learning about diabetes engaging and practical.

The 2027 DEEP program will take place in March and April 2027. Classes meet once a week on Thursdays from 6–8 p.m. in WMMC Conference Room 1. Space is limited, and registration is required. Participants must attend all eight classes to receive a completion certificate.

This program is for individuals who:

  • Are unsure how to manage their diabetes
  • Have concerns about future complications
  • Want guidance on nutrition and meal preparation
  • Feel overwhelmed by diabetes technology or devices
  • Are caregivers for someone with diabetes

DEEP Program Registration 2027

Classes begin March 4, 2027 and will continue every Thursday for eight weeks, ending on April 22.
