What It Means to Win a DAISY Award

Nurses are selected as DAISY Honorees through a blinded review process by an internal committee, ensuring nominations are evaluated fairly and based solely on the stories shared. DAISY Honorees are recognized throughout the year to celebrate their extraordinary contributions continuously.

Recipients of the DAISY Award receive:

A celebratory presentation with peers, leadership, and sometimes family in attendance
A certificate in a DAISY portfolio
A hand-carved Healer’s Touch Sculpture from Zimbabwe
A DAISY Honoree pin and a copy of their nomination
A congratulatory banner for their unit (optional) and a gift bag
Cinnamon rolls to share with their team
Recognition on the DAISY Foundation website and eligibility for professional development, education, and wellness benefits
