Getting hurt is painful enough, and so are aching joints. Our board-certified orthopedic surgeons offer innovative techniques to diagnose and treat a variety of orthopedic conditions. Our highly trained staff makes a special effort to ensure that your office and surgery preparation experience is as worry-free as possible. We have on-site radiology to simplify and expedite your care. Our focus is to help you return to your normal activity level safely and as soon as possible. Western Missouri Medical Center was re-certified by The Joint Commission for both total knee replacement and total hip replacement with the Gold Seal of Approval in 2021.

If you have additional questions, we offer two Total Joint Education Classes:

  • Option 1: In-person Class —10 a.m. the first Thursday of January, March, May, July, September, and November in Conference Room 1 at the hospital. You do not need to register for this option. Conference Room 1 can be accessed from either the Main Entrance or the Rehabilitation Services Entrance. If entering through the Main entrance, take a left, and at the end of the hall, take a right; Conference Room 1 will be on the left. If entering through the Rehabilitation Services Entrance, take a left; Conference Room 1 will be just ahead on the right. 
  • Option 2: Zoom Class — 5 p.m. the first Thursday of February, April, June, August, October, and December. Contact Ashley Reed, RN-BSN, Total Joint Coordinator, to sign up for the class no later than 12 p.m. the Wednesday before the class at areed@wmmc.com or 660-262-7714. Please note, there will be other patients and caregivers in the Zoom class.
