WMMC Auctions off Pink Mules Jerseys to Raise Money for Cancer Care Project

Warrensburg, MO (October 26, 2018) — Western Missouri Medical Center (WMMC) partnered with the University of Central Missouri (UCM) Athletics Department for the first-ever Pink Up! event to auction off five pink Mules jerseys and raise money for the WMMC Foundation’s newest project.

The Pink Up Auction ended Saturday, Oct. 13^th at halftime during the UCM game verse Emporia State game. Collectively, the five jerseys raised $1,275.00. The winners of the jerseys are Kevin Smarr, Kayleen Thomas, Matt Lotspeich, Beth Rutt, and Gina Carlyle.

These proceeds from the auction will go towards the WMMC Foundation’s Advancing Cancer Care, Closer to Home. This project will fund the purchase of new equipment that will help cancer patients at WMMC and Family Comfort Suites that will allow patients and their family to be close during unexpected medical circumstances.
