When an illness or injury happens, it’s not always easy to know where to turn. This quick guide helps you decide the best place for care—whether it’s your Primary Care provider, Express Care, or the Emergency Department—so you can get the right treatment as quickly and safely as possible. This is an example list, it does not include all conditions treated at our facilities.
Primary Care
Best for routine, preventive, and ongoing care. Your Primary Care Provider (PCP) should be your first call for sick visits when available.
Express Care
Best for minor illnesses and injuries when your PCP is unavailable or after hours.
Emergency Department
Best for severe, life-threatening, or emergency conditions requiring immediate care.
Below are examples of conditions that may be treated in each setting.
