WMMC to Host Blood Drive: Donate Blood, Save a Life

Warrensburg, MO (April 9, 2018)—Western Missouri Medical Center (WMMC) has partnered with the Community Blood Center of Kansas City to host a blood drive on Monday, May 14, from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. The blood drive will take place in WMMC’s Conference Room 1, located at 403 Burkarth Road.

Can I donate?

Donating blood is safe and easy. Donors must be at least 16 years old and in good health. Minors under the age of 17 must have their parent’s consent to participate. Donors age 16-18 are also subject to additional height and weight restrictions. Donors age 76 and older can continue to donate blood if they meet all donor criteria and present a physician’s letter allowing them to donate. It is recommended that donors get a good night’s sleep, eat a good meal and drink plenty of fluids before donating. For more information, please visit savealifenow.org.
