JOB SUMMARY

The general duties of an employee of Central Family Medicine include adherence to all policies and procedures of Central Family Medicine. As an employee of Central Family Medicine, the expectation is that the employee will maintain a high degree of professionalism and ethics. Employees will maintain strict confidentiality as dictated by HIPAA.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform selected nursing and administrative duties, and assist physicians as required.
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment by escorting them from the waiting room to the exam room and taking histories and vital signs.
  • Prepare, clean and maintain exam and treatment rooms.
  • Give injections, perform EKG’S, OB/GYN exams and provide other patient care services as directed.
  • Maintain sample closet, administer medications per physician orders and phone in pharmacy orders as directed.
  • Prepare and maintain clinical supplies and equipment.
  • Assist with answering the telephone, providing information as requested and screening calls to the physician.
