Christopher Wittgren, DO, to Join Western Missouri Bone & Joint

Warrensburg, MO (Aug. 9, 2017)—Western Missouri Medical Center (WMMC) is pleased to welcome Christopher Wittgren, DO, Orthopedic Surgeon, to Western Missouri Bone & Joint as of Aug. 1.

Dr. Wittgren comes to Western Missouri Bone & Joint from the Missouri Comets, an indoor soccer team based in Independence, MO., where he was a team physician. He received his medical degree from Touro University Nevada — College of Osteopathic Medicine. ­­He completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences/St. Mary’s Medical Center.

Dr. Wittgren is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, AO Trauma Foundation and American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics.

In March, the WMMC Board of Trustees approved a $1.5 million construction project to renovate the second floor of WMMC’s Medical Office Building. The new clinic location plans to open for business by Aug. 28.
