Dr. Merle J. “Boo” Hodges Joins WMMC’s Women’s Health Center

 

Warrensburg, MO — Dr. Merle J. “Boo” Hodges, a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist with nearly four decades of experience providing high-quality women’s healthcare, has joined Western Missouri Women’s Health Center and birthing team at Western Missouri Medical Center (WMMC).

Dr. Hodges earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas in 1979 and his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 1983. He completed his OB/GYN residency at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri in 1987. After more than 35 years of practice in Salina, Kansas, he now brings his expertise and compassionate care to the Warrensburg community.

Throughout his career, Dr. Hodges has delivered over 10,000 babies and developed extensive expertise in women’s health, including hysterectomy and other complex OB-GYN procedures. He is a board-certified fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and has served as a clinical instructor for medical students at the University of Kansas School of Medicine–Salina.

Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Hodges is an avid living historian with a passion for the Civil War and World War II.
