A Night of Glamour, Giving, and Games
Join us for an evening of refined elegance and enchanting allure in support of Western Missouri Medical Center’s (WMMC) Empower Through Early Detection campaign. Guests will enjoy casino-style games such as Blackjack, Texas Hold ’Em, Craps, Roulette, and more, with winnings earning entries into cash prize drawings. The night also includes silent and live auctions, complimentary food, and an open bar.
Event Timeline
6:00 p.m. — Check-in & Gaming Begins
Receive your auction program, bidding number, gaming tokens, and our signature drink as you arrive. Then preview silent and live auction items, enjoy cocktails at the open bar with complimentary food, friends, music, and more as the gaming begins.
8:30 p.m. — Silent Auction & Gaming Ends, Program Begins
Hear from the WMMC Foundation and guest speakers as we highlight the impact of your support.
9:00 p.m. — Live Auction & Prize Drawings
Explore a curated collection of unique and memorable items, and place your bids to take home your favorites.
10 p.m. — Check-out Opens & Event Ends
Conclude your evening and settle any outstanding balances.
About the Campaign
WMMC is committed to enhancing breast cancer detection and care in our community. Early and accurate detection saves lives, and this campaign will expand access, reduce wait times, and improve outcomes for patients in our region.
The $880,000 project includes:
- Two Fujifilm ASPIRE Cristalle 3D Mammography Machines (one with stereotactic biopsy capability)
- One Samsung RS85 Prestige Ultrasound Machine for patients with dense breast tissue
WMMC has committed $25,000 toward construction, and the WMMC Foundation has pledged to raise the remaining $855,000 to acquire these critical diagnostic tools. With this advanced technology, patients will benefit from faster, more precise screenings delivered with greater comfort and confidence.

- What Should I Wear?
Formal attire is encouraged as we bring the enchanting spirit of “Midnight in Paris” to life. Imagine the romance and elegance of Paris after dark—midnight blue, shimmering fabrics, and a touch of Parisian flair. You’ll see a range of outfits, from guests dressed to the nines in full gala attire to those opting for a more casual look with jeans and a nice shirt. Whether you choose to make a statement or keep it relaxed, channel your own Parisian night. Ultimately, it’s up to you, and you can’t go wrong either way!
Dress Code Tips:
- Parisian Glamour: Embrace sophisticated evening wear—think elegant dresses, gowns, or tailored suits in midnight blue or other jewel tones.
- Effortless Chic: For a more relaxed approach, consider smart casual attire with a stylish twist—crisp jeans paired with a dressy top, or a blazer for added Parisian charm.
- Accessorize: Complete your look with a hint of Parisian flair—silk scarves, bold jewelry, or a statement hat.
- Shimmer & Shine: Sequins, metallics, and shimmering accents are welcome to capture the magic of a Paris night.
- Where Should I Park?
For parking, we recommend using Visitor Lot 12 or Faculty/Staff Lot 11 for easy access to the event. Please follow directional signage on the Union building to guide you to the ballroom entrance.
- Are Food and Drink Included in My Ticket?
Yes! Attendees can enjoy an open bar and dinner. The bar will include a selection of beer, wine, and spirits, along with a signature cocktail, a signature mocktail, and several non-alcoholic beverages.
- How Can I View the Live & Silent Auction Items?
There will be physical programs available at the event that include the Live auction catalog. This catalog will feature all the items and experiences up for bid during our live auction. Make sure to check it out when you arrive, as it will provide detailed information about each item, including descriptions and bidding instructions. You can also preview silent auction items on our Facebook page as well as Online Bidding Page prior to the event. - How Do I Finalize Payment for My Items?
- Silent Auction items will be paid through the online bidding site with the card you have on file, once the auction closes. You’ll receive instructions directly through the site to complete your payment securely.

- Do I Need to Bring Cash?
Card payments are encouraged, however, bringing cash is suggested for tipping bartenders, buying “Golden Ticket” raffle tickets, prize raffle tickets, and suggested donations for gaming chips.
- What Games Will You Have?
Our event feature classic casino favorites like Blackjack, Poker, Roulette, and Craps, plus fun additions such as Plinko, Money Wheel, Money Cube, and more. Our games will be staffed by professional dealers who will be happy to teach you how to play.
- Is There Real Money on the Line?
No, your “gambling” winnings will be converted into raffle tickets that you can redeem for a chance at winning a cash prize.
- What If I Don't Know How to Play?
That’s okay! All games are beginner-friendly, with professional dealers eager to teach the basics to newcomers. No prior experience is required. After all, they call it beginners’ luck for a reason!
- Can I Get More Chips?
Absolutely! Additional chips are available at the bankers’ table for a suggested donation of $20. Feel free to buy-in for as many chips as you need to keep rolling all night long.
- How Do I Win?
Winners will be able to exchange their chips for raffle tickets that can be used to enter the cash prize drawing.
- Do I Have to Stay Until the End to Win?
- Silent Auction – No, you do not need to be present to win. We will contact any unclaimed prize winners after the event is over to coordinate pick up of the item(s).
- Live Auction – Yes, you will need to be present to participate in the Live Auction
- Golden Ticket Raffle – Yes, you will need to be present to win a Golden Ticket Raffle item.
- What Else Will Be Going on Beside Casino Games?
While casino games take center stage, plenty of other entertainment awaits, from sipping drinks at the open bar and savoring the complimentary buffet to visiting the sketch artists in the Atrium, enjoying French-themed music, silent and live auctions, Golden Ticket raffle, or simply relaxing and chatting with friends in a lively atmosphere.
