Launch of JoCo Helps Community Resource Page

Warrensburg, MO (February 19, 2018)—Johnson County Community Health Services in partnership with Western Missouri Medical Center is pleased to announce the launch of a new online community resource portal called JoCo Helps.

The JoCo Helps online resource portal was designed to help address in part an area of need that was identified in the 2016 Community Health Needs Assessment of increased awareness to community resources. Designed to list community resources, assistance opportunities and support services under identified categories, the online portal is hosted on the Johnson County Community Health Services website at www.JohnsonCountyHealth.org/JoCoHelps.

“We are hoping that this new portal will help serve as both a resource destination and a referral source for community partners,” said Scott Alvested, community outreach coordinator for JCCHS.

“The Community Health Needs Assessment is a hardworking group of leaders that is dedicated to identifying and meeting the needs of our community,” says Tara Carlyle, Western Missouri Medical Center, System Director of Communications & Development. “We are very fortunate for the opportunity to work with these leaders in order to develop a resource that lists health services available not only at WMMC, but also throughout Johnson County.”
