Cardiac Rehabilitation
Cardiac Rehabilitation is a supervised program for people who have had a heart attack, heart failure, heart valve surgery, coronary artery bypass or other coronary intervention or disease. An experienced cardiac rehab nurse and a staff of exercise physiologist plan, initiate and supervise an exercise program to assist in learning to exercise safely and increase your physical activity. Education is also provided on heart-healthy lifestyle changes. Our team will work with your primary care provider or cardiologist to ensure a coordinated care plan that is best for you. Cardiac Rehabilitation is provided in three phases:
Phase 1 — Monitored activity immediately after cardiac event
Phase 2 — Monitored Exercise and Education
Phase 3 — Maintenance Program
Pulmonary Rehabilitation
We offer pulmonary rehabilitation services for patients diagnosed with an exacerbation (worsening or “flare up”) of chronic pulmonary disease, such as:
Asthma
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
Pulmonary fibrosis
Emphysema
Pulmonary Rehabilitation is a supervised program for people who need to improve their ability to exercise and build stamina due to lung disease. Education is provided to improve the patient’s stamina and understanding of their disease process and ways to improve their activity tolerance.
