Oncology is the branch of medicine that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
Recognizing that many types of cancer require specialists with highly focused knowledge, the Western Missouri Cancer Center has partnered with MidAmerica Cancer Care to offer providers who possess unique cancer expertise.
By partnering with the MidAmerica Cancer Care, WMMC in now able to provide oncology services that will give WMMC more autonomy to lead the vision for cancer care and adapt to our patients’ growing needs. Led by renowned and board-certified cancer specialist Jaswinder Singh, MD, the specialty team includes Shajadi Patan, MD, a board-certified, fellowship-trained medical oncologist who provides comprehensive medical oncology/hematology care with special interests in breast, lung, gastrointestinal, and genitourinary cancers, and Shea Fijal, FNP-BC, who has spent her career caring for underserved populations and working to get them the care they so desperately deserve.
