At Western Missouri Bone & Joint, our board-certified orthopedic team helps patients recover from injuries, manage chronic conditions, and restore mobility. We provide surgical and non-surgical orthopedic care using advanced techniques and personalized treatment plans.

We focus on making your care seamless, with on-site diagnostics, imaging, and coordinated pre- and post-surgery support. WMMC is proudly certified by The Joint Commission in total hip, knee, and shoulder replacement surgeries.

Surgical Orthopedic Services

Our Bone & Joint team provides advanced surgical care, including:

  • Total hip, knee, and shoulder replacement
  • Partial knee replacement
  • Minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery
  • Ligament reconstruction (including ACL repair)
  • Meniscus repair or meniscectomy
  • Pain management: PRP injections, genicular nerve blocks, suprascapular nerve blocks

Non-Surgical Orthopedic Care

Non-surgical orthopedic care is available both at Bone & Joint and outreach clinics. This includes:

  • Diagnosis and management of joint, tendon, ligament, and cartilage injuries
  • Sports-related injury evaluation and treatment
  • Pain and injury management, including osteoporosis and concussion care
  • Diagnostic ultrasound and gait analysis for personalized treatment planning
  • Therapies such as Iovera procedures, PRP injections, and custom orthotics

Dr. Jeremy Schmitz, MD leads the non-surgical orthopedic services and provides care at both Warrensburg and Higginsville locations.

Total Joint Education Classes

Our Total Joint Education Classes help you understand your joint replacement surgery—before, during, and after. You can join in person or watch online videos.

In-Person Classes – Talk to our team and get your questions answered. No registration needed.

  • Morning: 10 a.m. on the first Thursday of January, March, May, July, September, and November
  • Evening: 5 p.m. on the first Thursday of February, April, June, August, October, and December
  • Location: Conference Room 1 at WMMC (enter from the Main Entrance or Rehabilitation Services Entrance)
