WMMC Receives Recertification for Total Joint Replacement Programs

Warrensburg, MO (November 18, 2019)—Western Missouri Medical Center (WMMC) was recertified by The Joint Commission (TJC) for both total knee replacement and total hip replacement with the Gold Seal of Approval ®.

These triennial certifications follow a rigorous on-site review where TJC experts evaluated WMMC’s compliance with national disease-specific care standards as well as hip and knee replacement-specific requirements. Clinical practice guidelines and performance measures were also assessed. The medical center has held these certifications for three years prior to the recertification.

The Gold Seal of Approval ® is a symbol of quality that reflects WMMC’s commitment to providing safe and effective patient care.
