Warrensburg, MO (May 2, 2023) — Stephanie Truex, administrator at Johnson County Community Health Services, was recently elected to the Western Missouri Medical Center (WMMC) Board of Trustees. She was sworn in on Monday, April 10, by County Clerk Diane Thompson.
Truex has worked in the healthcare industry for nearly 30 years, including more than 25 years as a former WMMC employee. During her time at WMMC, she managed medical practices and served on various outreach committees.
“I have a strong understanding of how the hospital functions and operates, which I believe is essential for this position,” Truex said in a recent interview with the Warrensburg Star-Journal. “I appreciate what it is like to be an employee and what needs they have.”
The Board of Trustees also elected officers:
- Chair: Larry Purcell, D.D.S.
- Vice Chair: Sue Hook
- Secretary: Madison Harter
- Treasurer: Stephanie Truex
- Trustee: Rita White
