Western Missouri Family Healthcare – Holden Closing

Warrensburg, MO (February 6, 2018)—Western Missouri Family Healthcare – Holden will be closing its doors effective March 3, 2018.

The Holden based family medicine clinic opened in 2009 as the first expansion of Western Missouri Medical Center’s (WMMC) family health clinics. With the closing of the clinic, James Wirkkula, DO, will also be leaving the WMMC Medical Staff. Dr. Wirkkula joined the WMMC team in October 2014.

“As healthcare trends and methods change, healthcare organizations have been forced to carefully evaluate organizational processes and structures. WMMC is no exception,” says Darinda Reberry, WMMC President/CEO. “In order to ensure the continued healthcare of our greater community, we must evaluate patient volume, opportunity and growth of competition in our area.”

Because of WMMC’s transition to an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, the flow of patient medical records to their chosen healthcare provider will be a seamless process.

WMMC hopes that Holden clinic patients will consider Warrensburg primary care practices for their family health needs. More information for these clinics will be distributed to all Western Missouri Family Healthcare – Holden patients and can easily be found at WMMC.com.
