Warrensburg, MO — Western Missouri Medical Center (WMMC) and Warrensburg R-VI School District are announcing a new partnership to provide dedicated athletic training services to Warrensburg student-athletes. As part of the partnership, Emily Wilhite, MS, LAT, ATC has joined Warrensburg Athletics as the district’s new full-time Athletic Trainer.
Through the partnership, WMMC will provide certified and licensed athletic training services to support Warrensburg R-VI student-athletes throughout the school year. The partnership expands access to dedicated athletic training support while connecting the district with the clinical expertise and resources of WMMC.

We are excited to welcome Emily to the team and look forward to the difference she will make for Warrensburg student-athletes.”
A graduate of Crest Ridge High School, Wilhite earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Master of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Central Missouri.
During her time at UCM, Wilhite gained hands-on experience through a clinical rotation with Central Family & Sports Medicine, as well as internships and clinical assignments at Lee’s Summit North High School, Blue Springs South High School, and with UCM Football and Track & Field.

Wilhite will provide athletic training services focused on the prevention, recognition, evaluation, management, treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning of sport-related injuries. The partnership will provide Warrensburg R-VI student-athletes with dedicated athletic training support throughout practices, games, tournaments, camps, and other school-sponsored athletic activities.
Services will include injury assessment and management, first aid and emergency care, injury prevention support, rehabilitation and reconditioning, return-to-play support, and referrals to physicians or other healthcare providers when clinically appropriate.
