WMMC and Cerner Partner for Virtual Visits
The only change for patients will be that virtual visits are accessible through the WMMC Patient Portal. Many appointments are eligible and covered by insurance, but not all visits are applicable for virtual visits based on the provider and medical care needed. Talk to your provider to see if your medical need is eligible for virtual visits.
The transition would not be possible without Cerner’s generous offer to provide rural hospitals with the platform during 2021. This free trial through 2021 will enable WMMC to provide a secure form of communication to patients during the COVID-19 pandemic.
