Warrensburg, MO —Western Missouri Medical Center (WMMC) announces the upcoming retirement of Dean Ohmart, Vice President of Financial Services/Chief Financial Officer, effective Jan. 30, 2026. Ohmart has been a member of WMMC’s Executive Team since 2017 and has more than 40 years of experience in rural healthcare finance.
During his tenure, Ohmart provided strategic guidance that strengthened WMMC’s financial foundation and optimized the use of government programs supporting rural healthcare reimbursement. His leadership has been instrumental in ensuring the hospital’s long-term financial stability.
Following Ohmart’s retirement, Lacey Bredehoeft-Fiene, MHA, CHFP, will assume the role of Vice President of Financial Services/Chief Financial Officer. Bredehoeft-Fiene has served WMMC since 2009, beginning as a Staff Accountant and steadily advancing into leadership positions, most recently as Assistant Chief Financial Officer.
Bredehoeft-Fiene holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting, a master’s degree in healthcare administration, and is a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP). She brings more than 17 years of progressive financial leadership experience at WMMC, with expertise in financial planning, revenue cycle optimization, operational efficiency, and technology transformation. She has led modernization initiatives including the development of a systemwide digital front door, patient portal enhancements, and automated appointment reminders.
