WMMC Armed Intruder Protocols Activated

Warrensburg, MO (December 18, 2017)—Warrensburg Police Department (WPD) has advised that the situation at Western Missouri Medical Center (WMMC) has been resolved.

All suspects are in custody. This was related to an incident that occurred in a residential location, but WPD witnessed a possibly armed suspect running into the medical center. They then fled the campus and were apprehended.

Thanks to WMMC’s armed intruder protocols, the organization went into immediate lockdown to protect patients, visitors, volunteers and staff. Thank you to WPD for securing our facility quickly and safely.
