Warrensburg, MO — The Western Missouri Medical Center (WMMC) Auxiliary is sponsoring scholarships for Johnson County residents or those attending University of Central Missouri, State Fair Community College or University of Missouri – KC who are pursuing a career in healthcare.
Scholarships are available to students in health-related fields including but not limited to nursing, medical school, physical therapy, wellness, laboratory, radiology, occupational therapy, cardio-pulmonary services, pharmacy, and nutrition. The Auxiliary Scholarship Committee will select eligible applicants based on financial need, scholastic ability, work plans and demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in healthcare.
The total number of scholarships and the total amount awarded can vary, dependent on applicants’ needs and the availability of scholarship funds.
Applications for this scholarship have been distributed to all Johnson County high schools as well as Warrensburg Area Career Center, University of Central Missouri and State Fair Community College. The application can also be found on the WMMC website.
Scholarship candidates must return completed applications to Michelle Schubert in the Communications & Development Department at WMMC no later than April 1, 2025. Incomplete applications will not be considered for scholarship eligibility.
The scholarship committee will begin the review process for all completed applications following the April 1 deadline. The Auxiliary will award the scholarships by early May 2025.

As education expenses rapidly rise and the demand for healthcare workers continues to increase, there is an ongoing need for additional funds. Donations to the Auxiliary create the opportunity to provide additional scholarships.
