WMMC’s ECHO Camp Returns for 2025: Application Window Opens April 1

Warrensburg, MO — High school students interested in a career in healthcare will soon have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience this summer through Western Missouri Medical Center’s 2025 Exploring Careers in Healthcare Opportunities (ECHO) Camp.

Due to popular demand, WMMC will offer two ECHO Camp sessions this summer, scheduled for June 9-13 and July 28 through August 1 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

ECHO Camp provides students with an inside look at the medical field through job shadowing, hands-on activities, and interactive demonstrations led by WMMC healthcare professionals. Participants will explore departments and services across the entire hospital, including WMMC’s emergency department, obstetrics, diagnostic imaging and laboratory.

ECHO Camp is open to current high school students and May 2025 graduates. Applicants must complete an online application at wmmc.com/ECHO, which includes a letter of recommendation from a non-relative adult and a one-page essay describing their interest in healthcare and goals for attending the camp.

The application window opens April 1, and with limited space available, students are encouraged to apply early. The deadline to submit applications is April 12.

A camp fee of $40 includes an ECHO Camp T-shirt, WMMC swag bag and lunch each day of the camp.
