Warrensburg, MO – Western Missouri Medical Center’s advanced cardiology clinic, Heart Care of Warrensburg, is now open and providing advanced cardiac care to the Warrensburg community and surrounding areas.
Located adjacent to Warrensburg Express Care at 427 Burkarth Road on the WMMC campus, Heart Care of Warrensburg connects patients with board-certified cardiologists in HCA Midwest Health’s network of cardiology specialists. Providers will diagnose and treat routine and complex heart conditions, including chest pain, shortness of breath, hypertension (high blood pressure), elevated cholesterol, heart dysrhythmias, heart valve disease and more.
WMMC President and CEO Darinda Dick said that the opening of own cardiovascular clinic signifies WMMC’s dedication to broadening local access to services and investing in enhanced technology to meet the demands of the community. “This marks an exceptionally exciting moment for us and the entire area we are dedicated to serving. By establishing this clinic, Warrensburg and the surrounding area will now have increased access to prompt cardiac care.”

Clinic manager Mary Kate Purcell, BSN-RN, brings prior experience to WMMC as a cardiology manager, structural heart program coordinator and clinic supervisor. Purcell says that patients are excited to have heart care services available closer to home.
“The community response has been great,” said Purcell. “We’re proud to be able to care for our patients right here in Warrensburg so they don’t have to travel out of town to receive the care they need.”
