Community Support at WMMC
Western Missouri Medical Center’s mission is to improve the health of our greater community by providing quality health care services, exceeding the expectations of those we serve. Each year, many of our local organizations reach out to provide Western Missouri Medical Center with an opportunity to sponsor an event, health fair or activity.
WMMC strives to improve the health of the communities we serve. It is our goal to continue providing high-quality services that focus on maintaining a healthy lifestyle through education and comprehensive health care services to residents of Johnson County and west central Missouri.
Due to a large number of requests and to allow us to better serve our surrounding communities, it is important that all sponsorship requests align with our mission.
Examples of Sponsorship Opportunities
- Community events such as health fairs, walks, runs, auctions, golf outings, etc.
- Donations
- Event participation or contributions
- Fundraising dinners
- Community service/development organizations
- School fundraisers
- Cultural programs/events
- Logo items/giveaways
Requirements To Apply
For us to reach our goal, please ensure your sponsorship request falls within these guidelines:
- Sponsorships must support our mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities.
- Sponsorships must support the communities served by the hospital, which includes Johnson County and West Central Missouri.
- Activity or event must provide health and wellness that leads to community benefit.
- Activities that address key population health improvement initiatives in the areas we serve
- All requests must represent a 501(c) non-profit organization in good standing that has a positive community image.
Sponsorships cannot be used for:
- Political Activities
- Anything unrelated to WMMC’s mission or core values
- Events or activities that do not improve the health and wellness of our communities

Proposals for events/activities are accepted on a year-round basis. However, funds are limited. Requests must be submitted at least 30 days prior to the event. Requests received earlier in the year are more apt to receive consideration.
To apply, simply complete and submit the Sponsorship Application Form. Feel free to send any supporting documentation regarding your event/application via email to beggen@wmmc.com.
