At Western Missouri Medical Center (WMMC), caring for our community extends beyond clinical care. Through data-driven health initiatives, nonprofit partnerships, and employee-focused programs, we work alongside local organizations, businesses, and residents to strengthen health and well-being across Johnson County and West Central Missouri.
Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA)
Guiding our community health priorities:
The Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) helps WMMC identify and address unmet health needs in the communities we serve. Conducted every three years, the CHNA uses community input and data to guide health improvement efforts and community partnerships.
Our most recent CHNA was completed in March 2025.
Community Support
For nonprofit organizations and community groups:
WMMC partners with nonprofit organizations and community groups to support events, programs, and initiatives that promote health, wellness, education, and prevention. Support may include sponsorships, donations, or in-kind contributions for qualifying organizations.

The Community Benefit Partner Program allows local businesses to support WMMC employees and volunteers by offering exclusive discounts, special promotions, or on-site services—while building meaningful connections with a trusted local healthcare organization.
