Meet Krysta Ramirez Henry, Certified Nurse Midwife!Krysta Ramirez Henry, MS, CNM, has provided full-scope midwifery care at Western Missouri Women’s Health Center since 2011. During this time, she has helped approximately 1,000 women welcome their baby into the world! Krysta says one of the best parts of practicing in a small rural community is the opportunity to watch “her babies” grow as she sees them around town. In her addition to her role as a provider, in 2019, Krysta co-founded Mother’s Matter, a local postpartum depression support group for her community. She is also clinical faculty at the University of Kansas, where she teaches didactic and practicum courses in midwifery and advanced practice nursing. Krysta is a recipient of the 2020 American College of Nurse-Midwives Excellence in Teaching Award. Krysta is expected to graduate in May 2021 from the University of Missouri Kansas-City with her Doctor of Nursing Practice.
