WMMC hosts Quarterly Recognition Celebration to Honor Employees

Warrensburg, MO (March 25, 2019) – Western Missouri Medical Center (WMMC) provides recognition to outstanding employees, including STARR nominees, Daisy Award, Years of Service, and Physician of the Quarter.

STARR Award Winners

The STARR award recognizes staff who consistently exceed expectations and are reliable, high-performing employees at WMMC. we want to acknowledge our STARRs at WMMC, those who are demonstrating our values and Standards of Behavior: Charli Collett, Michelle Hakos, Tom McKinney, Ron Carmack, and Sara Weir.

Rachael Garrett, DAISY Winner

The DAISY award is an international program that rewards the extraordinary compassionate and skillful care given by nurses every day. So often, these DAISY Honorees respond to their recognition with, “But I didn’t do anything special. I was just doing my job.” We want to help nurses see in themselves what their patients, families, and colleagues see in them and to help them learn the behaviors that make such a powerful difference. WMMC is proud to announce that Rachel Garrett was recognized for the DAISY award!

Years of Service

The Years of Service award recognizes employees for varying years of service they have dedicated to WMMC. WMMC recognized Linda Craven, Deanne Villegas, Caroline Kellogg, Michael Lawson, Katie Turner, and Ronald Carmack for 5 years of service; Wayne Harper, Lorene Higgins, and Diane Ridlin for 10 years of service; Tina Werneke, Melissa Hall, and Debra Culliver for 15 years of service; Tonya Cole and Devon Schroeder for 20 years of service; Shelly Loges for 30 years of service; and Sharon Truelove for 35 years of service. Thank you so much for your years of dedication to WMMC!

Each quarter, WMMC providers recognize an outstanding physician as Physician of the Quarter based upon several categories including quality, satisfaction and engagement scores. WMMC is proud to announce that Stuart Smith, D.O., Dana Brewington, M.D., and Syed Hasan, M.D. were all recognized as a Physician of the Quarter during 2018.
