Visiting a hospital can be stressful, and we understand that your focus is on the care and well-being of your loved one. At Western Missouri Medical Center, our priority is maintaining a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This page provides key information about hours, parking, visiting guidelines, food and lodging, gift shop services, and dining options to help make your visit as smooth as possible.

Hours & Parking

We want your visit to be easy and stress-free. Our main hospital entrances are open at the following times:

• Emergency Entrance: Open 24/7
• Main Hospital Entrance Hours:
  • Monday-Friday 6:30 a.m.–8:30 p.m.
  • Saturday & Sunday 8:00 a.m.-8:30 p.m.
  • After 8:30 p.m. please use the Emergency Entrance
• Outpatient Entrance Hours:
  • Monday-Friday 5:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Patient/Visitor parking is available in front of each entrance. Please follow posted signs and guidelines to ensure safety and convenience for everyone.

Visiting Guidelines

As a patient- and family-centered hospital, we know visitors play an important role in healing and recovery. To protect our patients, we ask that you do not visit if you are feeling unwell. For patients in isolation due to respiratory illnesses, visitors may be allowed with appropriate protective gear, which our staff can provide. Masks are optional but available at the entrances.

To help us maintain a safe and restful environment for patients, please follow these guidelines:

• Flowers and plants can increase the risk of infection for patients in the ICU or with weakened immune systems. If you’re unsure, it’s best to avoid bringing them.
• Latex balloons are not allowed due to allergy risks.
• Please use restroom facilities in the waiting areas.
• Respect “No Visitors” signs on patient room doors.
• Wear appropriate attire, including a shirt and shoes.
• Aggressive behavior, threats, or violence toward patients, visitors, or staff will not be tolerated.

Service Animals

Preventing Infections

Our top priority is keeping patients safe. Please:

• Avoid visiting if you have any signs of infection, like a cough or fever.
• Wash your hands before and after visits.
• Follow all hospital rules for visitation. In some cases, isolation precautions may be necessary to protect patients, visitors, and staff.

WMMC reserves the right to limit visitation to ensure the best care and safety for everyone.
