Warrensburg, MO (May 2, 2023) – Golden Hour, a solo art exhibition by Aerin Sentgeorge, will be displayed at Western Missouri Medical Center from May 1 – May 31, 2023. This new work celebrates the moments of growth that come in any season.
The exhibition is part of over 80 exhibitions as part of the Taking Up Space Initiative facilitated by Thrive Together Network. Taking Up Space is a grassroots, female-focused community global art exhibition empowering artists to take up more space and exhibit their art in May 2023.
“When things were especially bleak in the winter of 2020 and numbers of COVID-19 deaths were in the millions, spring arrived,” said Sentgeorge about Golden Hour. “Temperatures started to warm. As buds began emerging from plants, stark shadows softened into flickering light. This spring, much more than any other, brought immense relief and happiness. We could go outside, feel the sun on our face, breathe fresh air, and be in the company of others. Had we turned a corner? Spring gave us the promise of new possibilities.”
