Advanced Wound Center at WMMC Designated as Center of Distinction

The Advanced Wound Center at WMMC staff and providers that worked towards and received these prestigious awards on behalf of the medical center.

Warrensburg, MO (Feb. 2, 2017)—The Advanced Wound Center at Western Missouri Medical Center (WMMC) has been designated a Center of Distinction by the nation’s largest wound-care company, Healogics Inc.

To meet the Center of Distinction criteria, the Advanced Wound Center at WMMC had to achieve key best-practice benchmarks in wound healing rates and patient satisfaction.

In announcing the clinical-performance designation, Healogics Inc. also communicated that the Advanced Wound Center at WMMC is among a select group of 34 prestigious wound centers (out of 800 centers nationwide) to receive the Healogics President’s Circle Award! In addition to clinical quality, the President’s Circle Award is based on overall center operations and growth.

“This is why we’re here, to heal people with chronic wounds, and to heal them quickly and completely,” says Patrick Walker, Director of the Center. “It’s important that wound patients in our area receive care that is now recognized as among the best anywhere in the nation.”

The center, which opened in 2014, is operated through a joint partnership between Healogics and the hospital.
