Join us for an unforgettable evening at Fire & Ice: A Night at the Chalet, benefiting the Western Missouri Medical Center (WMMC) Foundation. Step into a winter-inspired night of refined elegance, where the warmth of the chalet meets the excitement of a night out.

Guests will enjoy casino-style games including Blackjack, Texas Hold ’Em, Craps, Roulette and more, with winnings earning entries into cash prize drawings. The evening will also feature silent and live auctions, complimentary food and an open bar.

Every sponsorship, ticket purchase, auction donation and bid helps support the WMMC Foundation and its mission to strengthen healthcare in our community. Your participation in Fire & Ice helps make a lasting difference for Western Missouri Medical Center and the patients and families we serve.

Event Timeline

6:00 p.m. — Check-in & Gaming Begins
Receive your auction program, bidding number, gaming tokens, and our signature drink as you arrive. Then preview silent and live auction items, enjoy cocktails at the open bar with complimentary food, friends, music, and more as the gaming begins.

8:30 p.m. — Silent Auction & Gaming Ends, Program Begins
Hear from the WMMC Foundation and guest speakers as we highlight the impact of your support.

9:00 p.m. — Live Auction & Prize Drawings
Explore a curated collection of unique and memorable items, and place your bids to take home your favorites.

10 p.m. — Check-out Opens & Event Ends
Conclude your evening and settle any outstanding balances.

Your generous donation of raffle, silent auction, live auction or Fireside Bottle Pull items helps make Fire & Ice: A Night at the Chalet a success while supporting the WMMC Foundation and its mission.

Fireside Bottle Pull
Help us stock the chalet! We are accepting donations of wine and liquor bottles valued at $50 or more for our Fireside Bottle Pull. Donations can include a single bottle valued at $50 or more, or multiple bottles that together reach the $50 value. For example, two $25 bottles of wine can be donated together.

What Should I Wear?
Think winter style with a touch of chalet charm. Whether you’re dressing up or keeping it comfortable and chic, come in whatever makes you feel your best.

Dress Code Tips

  • Chalet Chic: Elegant dresses, jumpsuits, suits, dress pants and polished separates.
  • Cozy & Classy: Sweaters, stylish blazers, dressy jeans and elevated casual looks are welcome.
  • Fireside Glamour: Add a little sparkle with velvet, sequins, metallics, faux fur or other luxe textures.
  • Winter Colors: Try whites, creams, silvers, icy blues or rich winter jewel tones.
  • Accessorize: Complete your look with statement jewelry, scarves, shawls, boots or other winter-inspired accessories.
  • Make It Your Own: Go glamorous or keep it casual—there’s no specific dress code. Just come comfortable, confident and ready to enjoy a night of great food, fun and celebration!
Where Should I Park?

For parking, we recommend using Visitor Lot 12 or Faculty/Staff Lot 11 for easy access to the event. Please follow directional signage on the Union building to guide you to the ballroom entrance.

Are Food and Drink Included in My Ticket?

Yes! Your ticket includes dinner and an open bar featuring beer, wine, spirits, a signature cocktail, a signature mocktail, and several non-alcoholic beverages. 

How Can I View the Live & Silent Auction Items?

A Live Auction catalog will be included in the event program and will feature descriptions and bidding information for each item and experience.

How Do I Finalize Payment for My Items?
Do I Need to Bring Cash?

Card payments are encouraged, but we recommend bringing some cash for bartender tips, Golden Ticket raffle tickets, prize raffle tickets, Fireside Bottle Pull, and suggested donations for gaming chips. 

What Games Will You Have?

Enjoy classic casino favorites like Blackjack, Poker, Roulette and Craps, along with fun additions like Plinko, Money Wheel, and more. Professional dealers will be on hand to help you learn how to play. 

Is There Real Money on the Line?

No! Your casino winnings will be converted into raffle tickets, which you can use for a chance to win a cash prize. 

What If I Don't Know How to Play?

No problem! All games are beginner-friendly, and professional dealers will be happy to teach you the basics. No experience is required. After all, they call it beginner’s luck for a reason! 

Can I Get More Chips?

Absolutely! Additional chips are available at the banker’s table for a suggested donation of $20. Buy as many chips as you’d like throughout the evening. 

How Do I Win?

Winners will be able to exchange their chips for raffle tickets that can be used to enter the cash prize drawing.

Do I Have to Stay Until the End to Win?
  • Silent Auction: No. You do not need to be present to win. We’ll contact any unclaimed prize winners after the event to arrange pickup. 
  • Live Auction: Yes. You must be present to participate in the Live Auction. 
  • Golden Ticket Raffle: Yes. You must be present to win a Golden Ticket Raffle prize. 
What Else Will Be Going on Beside Casino Games?

There’s plenty to enjoy beyond the casino! Sip drinks from the open bar, enjoy the complimentary buffet, visit the sketch artists, browse the silent and live auctions, enter the Golden Ticket Raffle, play the Fireside Bottle Pull, visit the photobooth, or simply relax and enjoy the evening with friends.
