Western Missouri Medical Center is dedicated to making your entire birthing experience a wonderful one, and that includes offering breastfeeding services. Our on-staff International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC) offer one-on-one counseling to help moms understand the fundamentals of lactation while learning to feed their new babies. They are trained to help mothers and babies with several issues including latching difficulties, painful nursing, low milk production or inadequate weight gain. Lactation services are available during pregnancy, at delivery and after discharge.
