Meet Jillian Simmons, DNP, Certified Nurse Midwife!

Jillian Simmons, DNP, CNM has been a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) since 2019. Prior to working as a CNM, Jillian worked as a labor and delivery nurse for 7 years with administrative experience, as an Associate Director of Women’s and Children’s.

Jillian attended the University of Missouri earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences. Following her undergraduate studies, she earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice with an emphasis in Midwifery from the University of Kansas Medical Center. During her time at the University of Kansas, she spent time developing and implementing a Postpartum Hemorrhage (PPH) Protocol for her local hospital, as part of her doctoral project. 

Continuing the Journey

Our Childbirth Class includes:

  1. Hands-on teaching about monitors and equipment used in the delivery room.
  2. Information on pain control options (with or without medications)
  3. Information about procedures available: C-sections, circumcisions, assisted deliveries, epidurals, etc.
  4. Discussion of what to expect during your stay at our Birthing Center.

Breastfeeding and Infant Care classes include:

  1. Meet other moms and soon-to-be-moms to create a network of breastfeeding support.
  2. Learn about the unexpected struggles of breastfeeding and de-bunk breastfeeding myths.
  3. Learn more about infant care and have your questions answered.
